So, What's new at Timeless Studio?  Well... I'm gonna tell ya!

 

August 1 2008

Timeless Studio is now settled in our new location. The new address is 181 South St. Freehold.  The phone number is still 732-866-1709.

It's a larger facility witch gives us the ability to expand our portrait work.  Very soon we will begin offering Maternity and Infant and Children Photography.

I'll keep you posted as new things develop (a little photography humor for you!).

Today is my 26th Anniversary, (if anyone is interested) 

I was on Cape Cod again for NEIPP 2008, The New England Institute of Professional Photography.  I spent the week with Hanson Fong, an internationally know photographer with over 30 years experience.  We reviewed posing techniques, lighting and more.  I have been to programs with Hanson Fong in the past, this was the first time I was able to spent a week with him.  I use many on his techniques currently and felt it was well worth the week to brush up and refine some of the things I already do, similar to him. 

It was a great week.  I met many new friend and caught up with some old ones.

New package to 2008

I've put together a new package for 2008.  Something a little more affordable for those on a tight budget. 

I've also to most of my package a photo session of your final dress fitting. Gather your girls your mom, and who ever else you would like and make an event out of your dress fitting.  Something like your dress fitting should be fun, not a chore.

This is not so much news but a commentary.  With the recent demise of Celebration Studios, there seem to be talk on the chat boards that you would be better off hiring a college photography student to photograph your wedding, pay him/her a few bucks and get a disk.  Here are my thoughts on that.... Well, that may sound good on paper, but, will you be assured of that persons ability to capture you day as you see it?  Will they be able to create the album you want?  Will you be able to find someone to create that album for?  Or will you settle for "good enough"?     As a seasoned professional, I can be confident in my team's ability to create the wonderful images you will cherish for the rest of your life.  I know my team and I will capture every aspect of your day without being in the way.  I know we will deliver on my promise to to be everything you expect and more.  I know you will love, love, love! your album that I design with your input. 

I know situations like this many give you trepidations when hiring a Professional Photographer.  To help place you at ease, I am a member of PPA (Professional Photographers of America) and PPANJ (Professional Photographers Association of New Jersey), I am a CPP (Certified Professional Photographer).  I constantly seek out educational opportunities.  PPANJ hold seminars several time throughout the year.  I teach a course on photo restoration.  What I'm getting at is: I can guarantee your experience with my team and I will be positive, and one that will continue past your wedding day.  I have photographed events, families and children of a number of my couples over the years.  Once you find someone you trust, you become loyal to that person.  My goal is to gain your trust. 

Let's face it, the first time you meet anyone you don't know them from a hill of beans (as my father use to say).  You are placing your trust in my and my teams hands on your wedding day.  It is our goal, (or an opportunity) to gain your trust and keep it.  I want you to feel safe in placing you confidence in Timeless Studio.  I believe I've said enough for now.  I hope this helps set aside any fear you have regarding the photography industry and Timeless Studio.

NEW in All packages for 2008

Would it be wonderful to have you final dress fitting photographed.  well... now you can!   This is an idea I had several weeks back.  I was not sure if this was something a bride would be interested in.  I mentioned it to a few brides over the past few weeks and have decided to include your final dress fitting session in my packages

Celebration Studio issue

I have been following the Celebration Studio dilemma very closely.  What I'm willing to do to help make this situation a little better is honor 25% of any deposit with Celebration.  You will need to show me you signed agreement.  Also if any couple is able to obtain digital image files or negatives, I'm willing to create your album at my cost plus 10%.  The 10% will help defray the cost of my time to design you album.

 

This is not much a Studio thing, but I think it's news worthy.  My house is now running on solar power.  The system was installed by Trinity Heating & Air of Freehold.  It's to early to tell yet, but I'm hoping to completely eliminate my electric bill.  I'll keep you posted!

 

Just an FYI  For the past four years, I have been donating my time, and photographic skills to MDA.  Specifically the ALS Division (Lou Gehrig Disease).  September 29th, I photographed the Phil Villapiano Field of Hope Gala Banquet.  I also help raise money through the MDA Lock up each year.

NEIPP

I attended The New England Institute of Professional Photography the week of March 18,2007.  I spent the week studying the photographic talents of Rick and Debra Ferro from Florida.  I learned a few new tricks and ideas.  So... I have a few new things to incorporate into what Timeless Studio already offers.

Speaking Career

I'm about to begin my speaking career.  I'm offering my photo restoration talents in a course for photographers.  I'll speak on my techniques,  Photoshop shortcuts and the detail of photo restoration.

 

PPANJ Convention NEIPP School

I will be attending The New Jersey State Photography Convention in Atlantic City on March 4, 5 &6.  I will be helping out on a few committees and I do each year.  The week in March 18th I will be in Massachusetts attending a week long photography school.  Hopefully I discover something new to bring back with me.

Hanson Fong Seminar

I recently attended a seminar given by Nationally known California photographer, Hanson Fong.  I spent the day studying his style and techniques.  May of him techniques may be added or adapted to my own unique style.  I'm always looking for ways to bring something new to what my team and I offers.

In October John will be presenting a program on photo restoration in the studio.  We will be reviewing several techniques to bring an old tattered photo back to life.

New with all 2007 packages

All couples booking with Timeless Studio for a 2007 wedding will now have included in the package a slide presentation of that days images presented during the reception on a 20 inch laptop for you and your guest viewing pleasure.

Models Needed

My Professional Photography Association offers photography classes of all levels to the pro photographer.  We are always in need of models.  So, if you are interested in being a model or know someone who is,  call me or email me so I can contact them.

High School Senior Portraits

You are no longer locked in to the typical High School year book photo. According to recent legislation in New Jersey,  you are allowed to use a photographic image aside from the one contracted by your school. Take a look at our High School Senior photo page, I believe you'll like what you see!         

John has recently retained his PPA Certification. 

Not all professional photographers are Certified by The Professional Photographers Association.

 

Timeless Studio has joined the Now I Lay Me Down To Sleep network of photographers

 

NEIPP.   John just returned from a week long photography school in Massachusetts. 

The New England Institute of Professional Photography is located in Falmouth, on Cape Cod.  The school was attended by 200 professional photographers from all over the US.  There were eleven instructors to choose from.  John choose to study with Susan and Stuart Powers from Gainesville Florida.  The Powers are top rate and nationally know.  They have taught all over the US.  "After a few days in class I realized our style is very similar to theirs.  I found that to be very interesting.   The approach we take at Timeless Studio is very close in style to a nationally rated photographic team.  I learned a lot during the week and have many new ideas we will be incorporating into our style and product presentations."

 

John Will be speaking at The Professional Photographers Association of New Jersey (PPANJ) Convention.

John will offer a presentation on Photo Restoration.  Taking your old photos and giving them new life.

Congratulations Affiliate Newsletter Editors and Webmasters! 

PPA recently held its annual Affiliate Communications Competition.  This competition was designed to improve affiliate publications and websites and to recognize those people involved in producing these communication tools, which keep members informed of their associations’ events. Every eligible competition entrant receives one PPA merit per entry.  Those who place or earn an honorable mention receive an additional merit for each entry recognized below.  Four qualified judges scored the newsletters and websites in the following three areas: Editorial content, Overall appearance, Service to members

Honeymoon Album

Toward the middle of our 2003 season, we added to our menu, a Honeymoon Album.  The Honeymoon Album is a twenty photo 4x6 Album we will have ready for you, our Bride & Groom, about 1 1/2 hour into you reception.  The Honeymoon Album includes photos taken throughout your day up to and including the beginning of you reception.  When we hand the Album to our Bride & Groom they are amazed.  Your parents will be too.

DVD

Your wedding images on DVD.  The wonderful world of computers has made it possible for Timeless Studio to bring Wedding Day Images to the DVD world.  Beginning in 2006, all of our packages include a DVD.

Passport Photos

Going out of the country for you honeymoon?  Need a pass port.  We now offer pass port photos that are ready in minutes.
